Tree Pittsburgh is an environmental non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing community vitality by restoring and protecting the urban forest through tree planting and care, education, and advocacy. 3 acres of land now houses a new sustainable headquarters and classroom space for this non-profit in a simple, open building design. It was created with nine prefabricated double height modules that were then mounted on helical piers above ground as to not disturb the soil. On the west side of the structure is the greenhouse that will continue on their mission of planting seedlings. The west side incorporates a long, linear porch for a relaxing outdoor space.
