MSA Architects took on the project for the renovation and expansion of the Woody Hayes Athletic Center’s East Wing. This 3,000 SF design eliminates visual clutter and creates an open floor plan with a main focal point that has structured content and circulation. Included in the addition was an added entry lobby at the northeast corner of the building which highlights the tradition of Ohio State’s football. The improvements implemented to the food service areas were renovating and expanding the dining area, new food preparation kitchens, and food serving areas. Also included in the addition are student lounge and activity areas; multi-purpose athletic assessment and recovery facilities; recruit viewing and entertainment areas. Additionally a storage addition was added to support the indoor field which is now equipped with large glazed overhead doors connecting to the outdoor practice area.
