Entertainment and Sports Arena is the first step in the transformation of the Congress Heights neighborhood. This 118,000 square foot multi-purpose facility seats 4,200 visitors and houses practice facilities for the NBA’s Washington Wizards, will serve as the home court of the WNBA Washington Mystics, and offers various EventsDC experiences throughout the year. This multi-purpose venue is certified LEED-Silver and is expected to generate tens of millions of dollars in tax revenue for a disinvested area of Washington DC and introduce thousands of annual visitors for Mystics home games, boxing matches, eSports competitions, community events, and concerts.
