Opening in 2016 the expansion to the Northern Lights Branch now offers 114 parking spots, a larger Homework Help Center, and a dedicated Ready for Kindergarten Area. This expansion not only doubled the square footage from the old library, but makes this library the learning hub in the middle of the culturally diverse Maize-Morse neighborhood of Columbus. The existing brick building was expanded through interior renovations as well as additions totaling up to 16,000 square feet. The new Northern Lights Branch Library is a collaboration and social gathering place serving as the community’s heart and provides a safe place for new Americans to feel a sense of integration with our larger community.
