The 125,000 SF state-of-the-art facility anchors the new East Quad and extends several of Berea’s core academic programs to underutilized areas of campus. Ballinger designed a highly-visible building that serves as a landmark presence upon arrival to campus from the north. The architecture blends a contextual Georgian exterior character with a daylight-infused, transparent, contemporary interior environment of flexible pedagogy. A cupola, a signature of Berea’s campus, sits atop the four-story building, evoking the rich history of the College. Interior materials include modern colors and textures, such as terrazzo floors and glass walls.
