A main feature of the renovation is the addition of a three-story atrium that allows for ample natural light to flow into the space. Within the atrium, one can see the original exterior of the historical building as well as balconies that provide students a private, yet communal, area to study. Originally OSU’s Women’s Student Union, Women’s Center and Women’s Recreational Facilities, the historic ballroom has been renovated into an interactive digital teaching lab; the swimming pool was filled in and replaced with two large lecture rooms; and the upstairs gymnasium was redesigned into TDAI’s event space and study space.
