Non-profit, transmission electric cooperative Wabash Valley Power (WVP) had a new headquarters designed to be an instrument for producing new ways of growing sustainability conscious energy transmission. The 50,000 sq. ft. base of operations takes it curved form from landscape in which it sits. Allowing for the maximum amount of energy savings and natural light, a glass curtain wall makes up a majority of the building’s facades. The headquarters is strategically placed on the edge of a wooded area to preserve the maximum amount of trees and represent the duality of the business.

The interiors were created with not only the visitors in mind, but the employees as well. The general openness of the floors allows for all those within the building to enjoy the wooded view while moving throughout the space. Office space is located within the southern side of the building allowing employees to enjoy ample natural sunlight. The conference room is the north to allow meetings to take place without intrusive sunlight disrupting presentations.
